📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
CODA Search is partnering with a publicly traded, international company looking to hire a VP, Accounting here in Stamford. The VP will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, have four direct reports and will lead all Technical Accounting, Consolidation and External Reporting functions for the company. The business has experienced rapid growth, both organic & due to acquisition so any M&A experience will be a big plus!
MUST Have: minimum 5 yrs exp. within big4/public accounting (ideally reaching Manager)minimum 5 yrs exp. managing staff (post public accounting)minimum 10 yrs exp. working with public traded companies/SEC environmentability to work on-site in Stamford, immediately
Responsibilities
Responsible for all financial statements in compliance with GAAPPartner with Investor Relations on quarterly earnings releases and external communicationsAnalyze capital investments, cash management, pricing decisions, and contract negotiationsLead all matters related to technical accounting, consolidations, acquisitions, stock based compensation, leases, revenue recognition, and inventory managementOversee technical accounting, rules and regulation research, enhancing all accounting policies and procedures & implementation of new accounting guidance and requirementsResponsible for company wide SOX compliance in addition to partnering on SOX issues with external audit firms/ consultants.Assist in identifying & implementing consolidation and report tools
Salary up to $250k + bonus + equity
