VP, Private Equity Portfolio Performance Analytics

We are currently partnered with a world renowned Asset Manager that is looking to make a business critical senior hire to their Private Equity group. They are looking to add a VP of Private Equity Portfolio Performance to their group who will work hand in hand with the PE Leadership, Value Creation, IR/ Client Services, Finance, and Accounting.

The VP of Private Equity Portfolio Performance will be responsible for overseeing the performance and optimization of our portfolio investments across various PE funds internally within the organization. This role will own PE Performance Management Process and be responsible for setting process and infrastructure to uphold it. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of private equity investment strategies.

Responsibilities:Portfolio Monitoring and Analysis:Monitor the financial performance and operational metrics of portfolio companies.Conduct in-depth analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.Develop and maintain financial models to assess investment performance and forecast future returns.Value Creation Initiatives:Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to develop and execute value creation strategies.Identify opportunities for operational improvements, revenue growth, and cost efficiencies.Evaluate potential add-on acquisitions and strategic partnerships to enhance portfolio value.Reporting and Communication:Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management and investors, highlighting portfolio performance and key insights.Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment on investment objectives and strategies.Act as a trusted advisor to portfolio company management teams, providing guidance and support on performance optimization initiatives.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.7-12 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field, with a focus on portfolio management and performance optimization.Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and other financial analysis tools.Deep understanding of private equity investment strategies, performance metrics, valuation methodologies, and financial markets.Proven track record of driving value creation and optimizing performance in portfolio companies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
