Cognizant Technology Solutions is looking for “Cobol Developer with Energy/Utility” to join in our team of IT professionals in a permanent role. Roles & Responsibilities

Energy/Utility domain background

5-8 years in utility industry with extensive knowledge in CIS, billing processes, meter to cash processes Strong business analysis skills and documentation skills (able to create a business requirements document, functional specification etc) Strong business analysis skills and documentation skills (able to create a business requirements document, functional specification etc) Ability to schedule and conduct meetings with business and IT stakeholders Ability to analyze any system exceptions and simulate the problem /ticket Ability to co-ordinate and work with offshore development team Strong knowledge of database technologies and willingness to learn multiple technologies including SQL, PL/SQL, Linux Shell scripting, Automic etc.

Experience Required

5-8 years in utility industry with extensive knowledge in CIS, billing processes, meter to cash processes Strong business analysis skills and documentation skills (able to create a business requirements document, functional specification etc) Strong COBOL background SQL, PL/SQL, Automic batch job scheduler Knowledge of Banner Product
