Working under the Field Operations Manager and collaborating closely with the Operations Lead, the Technical Field Specialist will provide direct technical support in the development, preparation, operation, and post-processing of in-field location data collection experiments and pilots.

Note: Candidate must be physically active - have experience and interest in hiking, biking and running with ability to do so for extended periods of times (additional physical activities a plus)

Responsibilities

Accurate and timely collection, extraction and processing of data using proprietary software. Installing and testing hardware (requires use of technical/installation equipment). Identify and solve recurring problems and work with the team to make improvementsRaise dependencies and risks when performing operationsSupport device inventory maintenance and setup and prepare devices for operations

Requirements

Ability to work both independently and within a teamAbility to efficiently plan, document, and communicate status on projects.Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to communicate cross- functionally with local and Global teams/collaboratorsAbility to navigate ambiguity and make quick course corrections when necessaryInterest in learning new technologiesStrong interpersonal skills and superior attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to meet deadlines and schedules and be accountableWillingness and ability to travel within city limits as well as in the regionAbility to work on feet for several hours and in indoor/outdoor environments during all types of weather (up to 10 miles per day)Clean driving record and a valid Driver’s License Be available 5 days between Monday to Friday - 8 hours

Preferred Qualifications

BA or BS degree or equivalent practical experience. Experience using Android, iOS, or in-development tools.Familiarity with Mobile & web technologies

Hourly Rate And Other Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is between $23 and $26 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
