Role Overview
In the role of Engineering Supervisor, you'll oversee and manage plant engineering operations, encompassing existing machinery maintenance, new installations, and spare parts inventories, aligning with organizational objectives, financial targets, and profitability goals. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through effective training and technical assistance. Lead comprehensive plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include (but not limited to)
Lead capital projects throughout strategic planning, purchase, installation, run-off, and hand-off to operations.Direct and prioritize projects for master technicians, engineering technicians, and leads.Enhance existing machine tools to boost uptime, quality, and productivity.Offer engineering support for production equipment and processes, including guidance for maintenance.Assume supervision of maintenance personnel when maintenance supervisor is absent.Provide input to enhance preventative maintenance programs.Collaborate with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives.Conduct training sessions for associates on new technologies and manufacturing processes.Adhere to Quality Management System and Environmental Management System requirements.Manage plant layout and develop mid-term strategy for process improvement.Demonstrate proficiency in PFMEAs, including development, maintenance, and review as necessary.Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualification and Education
Possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution (REQUIRED)Accumulate a minimum of three years' experience in controls engineering, PLC programming, or a related field.Demonstrate technical proficiency in machine function, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.Must have authorization to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship.Preferably, have experience with AutoCAD.Display results-oriented mindset and collaborate effectively in a team environment.Exhibit strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Completion of core classes in Achieve Global is required.Experience in continuous improvement activities, such as Kaizen, mistake-proofing, establishing standard work practices, problem-solving, pull systems, 5S, setup reduction, TPM, etc., will be considered advantageous.
