COGS has partnered with a rapidly growing, Fortune 500 food manufacturing company who are looking for a Health And Safety Manager to join their team. Due to increased market demand, they are in growth mode and expanding! This has led to increased opportunities for career trajectory and hence they are looking for an HSE Manager to take ownership for the development, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of their EHS program and performance.
The salary for this position is up to 150K + Bonus based remote.
Responsibilities
Lead by example and demonstrate expertise in EHS topics to uphold industry best practices.Support Company locations in meeting environmental, health, and safety standards through tasks such as audits, training, and coordinating with regulatory agencies.Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company standards.Evaluate EHS program effectiveness, make recommendations, and ensure corrective actions are taken.Develop and deliver EHS training programs to ensure team members are competent and compliant.Investigate incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.Assist in the investigation of environmental, health, and safety incidents.Develop, review, and update EHS policies, procedures, and training programs as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, or related field, or equivalent experience (preferred)8+ years’ experience in EHS, with at least 5 in FMCGExcellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of statistics, data collection and analysis.Knowledge of federal and state EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT) and industry standards (ANSI, NFPA, CGA).
