We're on a mission to build a vibrant student community, similar to Google Developers Club and Microsoft Student Ambassadors, where students can learn, collaborate, and unlock their potential in the exciting world of AI. As our Student Community Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping this community from the ground up, fostering a dynamic space for student engagement and growth.
Responsibilities:Community Architect: Build a thriving online community for students interested in AI, leveraging platforms like Discord, Slack, or social media.Content Curator: Develop engaging content (workshops, webinars, hackathons) tailored to student interests and aligned with Colombo AI's offerings.Growth Strategist: Implement creative strategies to attract and retain student members, fostering a sense of belonging and continuous learning.Event Emcee: Host engaging online events, spark discussions, and ensure a positive and inclusive environment for all students.Campus Champion: Collaborate with universities and student organizations to build partnerships and expand our reach.Brand Ambassador: Represent Colombo AI at relevant student events, spreading awareness and generating excitement about our platform.Data Advocate: Track key community metrics (engagement, membership growth), analyze data to understand student needs, and use insights to refine strategies.
Qualifications:Minimum 2+ years of experience leading or actively participating in student-run tech communities. (Experience with Google Developers Club or Microsoft Student Ambassadors a plus!)Passion for technology and artificial intelligence, particularly its applications in student learning and development.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and engage with diverse student audiences.Proven ability to develop and implement creative online and offline engagement strategies.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire student members.Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a remote work environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in social media platforms and community management tools.
Bonus Skills:Experience with event planning and execution.Video editing and content creation skills.Understanding of SEO and social media marketing principles.
