Research Associate

CLLARO is hiring a research associate to support the research department with research design, data collection, data analysis, writing reports, and disseminating findings in a variety of formats including, but not limited to, presentations and briefs. This position will support program team members and will predominantly focus on a research project focusing on older Latino adults in various counties in Colorado. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for research and either experience working with Latinx older adults or possess a strong interest in learning about the Latinx aging population.

This position reports to the Director of Research and is a 1-year term with the potential for renewal.

Responsibilities Support research program team members by assisting with varied research tasks (both qualitative and quantitative) and provide administrative support for the research team to ensure smooth operations of grants, etc. Assist with context research for projects, including but not limited to: literature reviews, policy analysis, etc. Help design research projects, tools and materials for data collection and support the team with data analysis as needed.Assist in developing the public-facing work products communicating key findings of research that impact policymakers, advocates, and the general public. These include but are not limited to written reports and briefs.Assist in relationships with individuals and organizations involved in areas of research focus.

Desired Qualifications Two or more years of research experience. An associate or bachelor’s degree in a research-related field and/or relevant lived experience and expertise is preferred. Demonstrated ability in writing, editing, public presentations in a variety of formats and contexts (e.g., research summaries, web posts, email blasts, social media posts, tweets, or other products). Must be fluent in English and Spanish. We are committed to community-based research which frequently involves conversations with monolingual-Spanish speakers. High level of flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with low-income Latino communities and Latino older adults. Access to reliable transportation to get to and from work sites as needed (occasionally in other counties in Colorado).Commitment to the vision and goals of CLLARO. Must have a passion / comfort working with a wide range of Latinos including but not limited to; Older Latino adults, Gen Z, financially vulnerable Latinos, etc.

Compensation Salary is $55,000-65,000 depending on experience. Benefits include health and a flexible work schedule, in addition to paid personal leave.
