📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Columbia University Department of Medicine is seeking applications for full-time Epidemiologist/Biostatistician to support multiple projects in the area of cardiovascular disease. The candidate will be responsible for data management and data analysis of various cardiovascular cohort studies (e.g., ARIC, CARDIA, HCHS/SOL, MESA, REGARDS, etc.) and national datasets (e.g., NHANES).
Applications will be accepted online at: http://apply.interfolio.com/139951 ResponsibilitiesMaintains and organizes datasetsPerforms statistical analyses of datasets, including descriptive analysis, survival analysis, prediction modeling, and multiple imputationAssists in writing manuscriptsCreate presentations of results and supporting material for scholarly presentations, papers, grant proposals and ongoing research meetings Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree in Epidemiology/Biostatistics/Public Health or equivalent in education, training, plus 2 years of experienceProficient with statistical programming software (R, Stata, SAS)Familiarity with population health research (e.g., epidemiology, biostatistics) research methods Preferred QualificationsDoctoral degree in Epidemiology/Biostatistics or equivalent in education, training and experienceFamiliarity with NIH-funded cohort studies (e.g., ARIC, CARDIA, HCHS/SOL, MESA, etc.)Familiarity with basic concepts of cardiovascular diseaseDetail orientedAbility to work independently and complete assignments on timeTeam player with ability to work well with all levels of personnel Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 Pay Transparency DisclosureThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
