Description
Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park is located on beautiful Kentucky Lake in Gilbertsville, Kentucky. This Resort Park is one of the premier lodging and dining facilities on the Lake, boasting a Marina, Campground, 18-hole Pro Golf Course, Executive Cottages, and Conference Center.
The glimmering panoramic views from our 200-seat restaurant have allowed for over 50 years of guest service in a changeful Hospitality Industry. We are looking for someone to continue to grow in this ever-changing landscape, while engaging in the freedom and responsibility of taking care of one of Kentucky’s greatest landscapes through Kentucky State Parks.
The Park Worker I (Host/Hostess) is a crucial team member, providing diligence in customer service and communication. In addition, this role will allow you a great platform to challenge yourself in learning more about food and beverage operations in a fast paced, guest service driven environment. You will work closely with the restaurant team, as well as management, and staff to offer a top-notch guest experience.

We are responsible for Harbor Lights Restaurant and Lounge and Conference Center. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, as well as catered events on park.
Key Responsibilities
Sets Restaurant up for success by providing excellent communication skills. Plans, participates, and implements seating activity and charts, with assistance from management. Plans, participates, and implements daily specials advertisement and routines, menu rotations, etc. Manages Point of Sale (POS) activity by providing management information and updates. Assists service staff in providing a top-notch guest experience. Abides by departmental rules, regulations, and policies.

Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
