THE POSITION

The Bureau of Motor Vehicles is looking for a detailed and organized candidate to fill a Clerical Assistant 2 position. In this position, you will be responsible for receiving and breaking down computer generated output into correct sources according to transaction code indicators. You will verify all output for any errors, retrieves processes, and maintain records of all plates that are assigned to certain units.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will maintain an inventory of plates, decals, and other related correspondence needed to perform daily duties. You will assist with the processing of form orders received by phone, mail, fax or interaction with internal and external customers, on-line messengers, notaries, and legislative aides. Duties include processing license plates and registration cards for mailing, filing plates in order, placing orders in .Centric for plates and weight decals, delivering .Centric and SRM orders daily to various locations, and mailing all dealer card, plates, and summary letters.

Work Schedule and Additional Information

Full-time employment. Work hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch. Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $34,621 (before taxes). Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
