Summary The Business Applications Analyst seeks, develops, and helps implement strategic initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity. They play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between user requirements and technology solutions by contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of various cutting-edge applications. They will partner with stakeholders across the organization to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently at all levels. Key Responsibilities Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of status reports to all appropriate parties Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation Conduct systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems Collaborate with the technology team and stakeholders to understand application requirements Plan and conduct thorough testing of applications to ensure functionality, performance, and security Identify and address any bugs or issues through debugging and troubleshooting Oversee the deployment of applications and software updates Coordinate with IT teams and end-users to ensure a smooth transition Provide training to end-users on how to effectively use the applications Offer ongoing support to address user concerns, troubleshoot issues, and optimize user experience Maintain comprehensive documentation of applications, including technical specifications, user manuals, and system changes Work closely with other IT professionals, such as software developers, database administrators, and system analysts, to ensure seamless integration and functionality Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the performance and efficiency of existing applications Ensure applications comply with security policies and standards while implementing measures to safeguard sensitive data and information Evaluate and recommend third-party applications as needed
Qualifications / Skills / Requirements Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science or equivalent work experience Three-five years of experience in analytics and systems development Certifications in relevant technologies, software, or project management Proficiency with SQL and database management Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including MS Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint, and Outlook Working knowledge of project management applications, Mind Mapping Software, and prototyping applications (e.g., Asana, Teams, SharePoint, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Axure, iRise, Microsoft Expression Studio) Working knowledge of Data Analysis software (Power BI, Tableau, Domo, Sisense) Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes Proven ability to manage projects and user testing Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams Hands-on experience developing and customizing applications Proficient in application testing methodologies and tools Knowledge of server configurations, networking, and cloud computing Experience in generating process documentation and reports Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Extensive experience with data visualization Strong analytical and problem-solving skills While performing the functions of this job, the employee is occasionally required to lift, carry (up to 25 pounds), stoop, bend, climb, crawl, push, pull or perform other physical activities Effectively model and demonstrate CFT’s core competencies which include Collaboration, Impact and Problem Solving, Integrity and Accountability, Learning, and Internal and External Service Disclaimer: The above sections contain representative examples of job duties that might be performed by employees assigned to this classification.
