Purpose: The Strategic Director Information Technology is responsible for assisting in managing the Bank’s computer systems, computer network, and all technology-related systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Manages all aspects of IT operations of the information technology department, including directing staff who support administrative computing, networking, user services, telecommunications, and other information technology functions.

Assesses and recommends technological solutions.

Is accountable for the successful implementation of technical solutions.

Analyzes business requirements/problems/gaps, investigates alternatives, and proposes recommendations to improve/automate business processes.

Authors internal documentation, such as process/system flow diagrams, installation/configuration/setup documents, and release notes.

Provides thorough and timely analyses of technology systems, with ongoing recommendations to Management.

Completes and keeps up-to-date technology inventory records.

Remedies minor exceptions in a timely manner.

Establishes and directs the strategic and tactical goals, policies, and procedures for the information technology department.

Participates in vendor contract negotiations for all new computer equipment and software purchased for the corporation.

Works with network vendor(s) to design, establish, and maintain a network infrastructure for local and wide area connectivity and remote access.

Supervises information system and communications network.

Works closely with other C-level executives to create strategic plans for the business’ future growth.

Ensures the security of the organization’s IT assets.

Facilitates communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within the organization.

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technologies, or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 5 years of relevant experience.

Skills: Strong math skills, strong communication skills, proficient in Excel, Word, and financial systems, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to multitask, able to communicate well at all levels and effectively engage senior lenders.

Human Relations: Requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with various levels of staff and outside contacts.

Responsibility and Decision-Making: Regular judgments are made with the guidance of general policies and procedures.

Supervision of Others: Has direct supervisory responsibilities. Provides significant input into hiring and termination of direct reports.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to visit multiple offices. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Work Environment: The overall working conditions are relatively safe and comfortable, typical of an office environment.
