📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
DESCRIPTION:Company One Theatre seeks candidates for the position of Box Office Associate for performances of MORNING, NOON, AND NIGHT by Kirsten Greenidge. The production is directed by Summer L. Williams, and performances will be held at the BCA Plaza Theatre (539 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02116)RESPONSIBILITIES:Will report to the Audience Services & Special Events ManagerServes as the front line of customer service for audience members, prioritizing a welcoming atmosphere and the care of the C1 communitiesChecks people in for will call and processes day-of salesAssists the Box Office & Lobby Manager with any box office set up and/or lobby maintenanceResponsible for assembling clipboards, audience surveys and/or stuffing programs when neededResponsible for ensuring the house (audience seating) is presentable before opening to the publicEnters completed audience surveys into C1’s online data collection system
QUALIFICATIONS:Previous experience in a customer service job desired but not required. Seeking Boston-based candidates or those who have their own housing/transportation in the Boston area. Candidates from diverse backgrounds and/or traditionally under-represented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
HOURS:Paid Training: One meeting the week of April 22 - Time TBDInvited Dress Rehearsal on the evening of April 25Performances/shifts: Evenings and weekends April 26 through May 25Call time for this position is 2 hours before performancesPerformances Wednesdays at 7:30pm, Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 7:30pm, and Sundays at 2pmAdditional performances Friday, May 3 at 10am; Friday, May 10 at 10am; Friday, May 17 at 10am; and Saturday, May 25 at 2pm
