Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Client Services. The Director of Client Services will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations, engage with our clients regarding residential single-family renovation and new construction projects.. The role will be based in Indianapolis, IN.
Duties: Client Services/Design SelectionsCoordinate selection meetings with clients and lead discussions around design decisions keeping budget allowances in mind.Track all design decisions and maintain selection logs and spec sheets for each project.Coordinate with vendors to obtain estimates for all design selection materials and submit to client for review and approval. Order selection materials through vendor contacts ensuring timely arrival in coordination with project schedule.Create and update change orders, in Buildertrend software, for client allowances and selections to assist clients and CG in budget review.Acquire necessary samples for client selection meetings. Organize and catalog sample materials.Communicate regularly with clients to ensure they are aware of allowance details and schedule status.Notify clients of project completion dates and schedule final walk through.Create design Mood Boards for spec house projects and as required for design facilitation.
AdministrativeCommunicate frequently with project managers to ensure any design decisions or changes are tracked and scheduled.Update redline construction plans with any design changes or important design details.Review budget allowance estimates prior to client contract meetings to ensure allowances are appropriately established.Monitor Pre-Construction tasks (layouts, window orders, door schedules, etc.)Participate in developing a qualified pool of vendors to bid jobs and supply materials. Foster relationships with same.Participate in site visits.Participate in Realtor interaction and involvement.Participate in schematic design meetings which occur precontract.Participate in estimation/budgeting process.Participate in development of spec homes, plans and associated details.
Skills/Experience:Required A minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative, design, or construction role.Strong problem solverDetail oriented & extremely organized Exceptional reliability and follow-through – do what you say you will do. Close the loop with good communication.Open and optimistic personalityDesire to learn new things, try new things, fail, re-evaluate, and try againExperience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or other softwareExcellent written communication skills
Preferred Experience working in residential construction environmentDesign management experienceExperience managing multiple construction projects simultaneouslyInterior design skillsGeneral understanding of Floor plans/architectural drawingsStrong missional alignment Experience using technology and project management software (BuilderTrend or other)
