📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are working with a Manufacturer in Wallingford who is looking for additional help on their overnight shift.
Basic Machine Operating experience and use of inspection tools is necessary (6+ months)
Pay/Hours 3rd shift: 11pm – 7am $22.20/hour
Training would be on 1st shift for 2 weeks: 7am – 3pm
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Wind from multiple reels to single reel as necessary for cabling or other operationsVisually checks all wire and cable during rewinding operations to detect rough finish areas, obvious diameter variations and other disqualifying elementsTake approved action to report, repair, remove faulty areas depending upon type and use requirements of wire or cable being rewoundPerforms simple electrical test functions to check cables and other items for continuity and “dead” shortsRun routine spark and similar tests following established practices and/or specific instructionsPerforms minor cable repairs, trim braid, repair jackets and perform other routine repair operations as necessaryCheck wall thickness, conductor and other diameters using micrometers and other measuring devicesCoat wires and cable as directed
Qualifications/Requirements
High School diploma or GED2 years relevant experienceAbility to comprehend parts/operator manuals/instructionsSolid troubleshooting ability
