Seeking a certified X-Ray Tech for a busy Pediatric Urgent Care. This position will also assume general Medical Assistant and Receptionist roles as well, as needed.

Location: Northborough, MA

Schedule: Part time, 2 12’s (24 HPW) One hour paid lunch (1pm – 2pm)

MUST be flexible with availability during the week and weekends.9am – 9pm weekdays8am – 8pm weekends2 days a weekThere are two consistent schedule rotations broken down to week 1, week 2

Requirements

Pediatrics experience highly preferredUrgent Care/Outpatient experience requiredMA X-Ray Technician certification requiredBachelor’s or associate’s degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field.Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).Phlebotomy/immunization experience preferredMinimum 1-2 years of experienceBLS/CPR required

Job Duties

Monitoring radiology suppliesEnsuring that the x-ray machines are set at the correct radiation levelsUsing x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients’ bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ written orders.Limiting patients’ exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed.Ensuring that the x-ray equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order.Promptly notifying management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.Maintaining an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures.Triage and providing appropriate clinical advicePatient education and obtaining accurate health records, updating EMRClean and prepare exam roomsHelp make patients and their families feel comfortable and at easeEMR System is IMS – any EMR experience is preferred

Qualifications

High school Diploma or equivalentReliable and dependable candidatePrior experience in urgent care/other medical office requiredExperience in pediatrics preferred, not requiredPrevious EMR experience highly preferredWill train on IMSMedical terminology required
