We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, highly disciplined and high-energy individual to lead the team as the Plant Manager. We are looking for a professional with extensive knowledge to oversee all plant operations and make crucial decisions for the company. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the responsibility for all financial aspects of plant operations and have a familiarity with the automotive industry.

Reports to the Director of OperationsCreate direction for departments by having daily and weekly meetings with the direct reportsMaintain and improve employee morale by facilitating team building and communication within departmentsCommunicate with our corporate resourcesAssist in interviewing and will be part of making final hiring decisionsAppraises employees productivity and efficiency and recommends promotionsDevelops and manages operations budgets to ensure compliance with the company and the customerResponsible for continuous improvementPromote and maintain a safe working environmentEnforce company policies/procedures and corresponding work instructionsCommunicate effectively with internal and external customersMake financial decisions by determining the number of hourly and salary personnel according to the needs of the businessWill make recommendations for promotionsDirects all departments and determines the number of employees neededMust be able to perform work duties in a fast-paced, shared environmentAdditional duties may be assigned as needed

Requirements

"MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of five years of experience in plant management level, material logistics, and manufacturingGeneral understanding of problem-solving using root cause analysis, safety, labor relations, and workers compensationWorking knowledge of value added subassembly -Understanding of LEAN manufacturing principlesAutomotive background preferred, specifically with experience related sequencing, JIT and subassemblyStrong skills in managing salaried and hourly employees and processesStrong customer interfacing skills, 24/7 availability via cell phone Demonstrated success launching operations and start-up projectsAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
