Field Research Assistant
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
This position will be performing field and greenhouse activities at the Station, such as (but not limited to): planting, applying pesticides, applying fertilizer, harvesting, and processing relatively small samples of Cotton.Safety and quality of the processes and products are in our culture. This position will be key in maintaining those high standards we cherish.All main activities will be done at the station with low travel requirements outside.
Job QualificationsMinimum of a bachelor’s degree in agriculture or scientific related field.Field, greenhouse, and warehouse experience, such as pest management, planting, harvesting, filling and sorting seed packets, crossing, will be preferred.Bilingual in Spanish and English is desired.Demonstrated excellent communication/personal interaction skills to foster teamwork, enhance a positive work environment, and effectively develop strong internal and external working relationships with a diverse group of people, will be valued.
