Application Engineer

Job Description:As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting sales preparing quotations that are both technically and commercially accurate. You will also interface with internal and external customers to provide support and solutions. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:Liaising with sales on customers' requirements and specifications, including the scope and timingReviewing specifications and project documents to ensure the contractual requirements are adequately defined and determining the company's capability to meet the specified requirements.Work with engineering and sales to define product pricing.Multi-task and work with various vendors to complete quotes.Enter customer orders into ERP and insure project turnover to the operations team. Support customer visits during kick off meetings. Required Experience & Qualifications: Preferably 3-5 years’ experience or more in rotating equipment (Vertical Centrifugal Pumps preferred) or equivalent experience in similar industry. Understanding of hydraulic pumping concepts as related to the performance of centrifugal pumps. Ability to understand and balance internal cost structure, market value, and margin goals when pricing a project. Commercial experience including marketing, pricing and contract terms and conditions. Required Education Technical degree or engineering degree preferred but not required. Additional Requirements This is in-office position based at our Houston, TX facility.Travel is projected to be up to 15%.This is full-time position requires a minimum of 40 working hours per week. Additional hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required based on company needs.Able to understand, read, write, and speak English. US Citizen / Permanent Resident of the United States with a valid state issued driver’s license. Must be able to legally work in the USA and provide proper documentation
