We are currently looking to hire an Associate Executive Protection Specialist to join our team embedded with our client in San Diego! This position requires working onsite at our client's Headquarters in San Diego, CA.

JOB DESCRIPTION The Associate Executive Protection Specialist will focus on safeguarding the principals from safety and security hazards, both in domestic and international locations. The job requires a high level of personal integrity and honesty, confidentiality, good judgment, problem-solving skills, often under pressure, and the ability to follow instructions. RESPONSIBILITIESSafeguards principals from all forms of security and safety hazardsAdvance work: Conducts site surveys for events ranging from casual to Head of State level eventsCoordinates logistics and plans all details relating to the physical location, including movements in, out, and around the site while preparing for emergencies and other contingenciesPrimary principal driver: Operates vehicle in a safe and comfortable mannerPrepares routes in advance, including alternate routesConducts vehicle checks for cleanliness, functionality, and fuel levelFollow driver: Follows principal vehicle and provides security coverage on the roadIdentifies threats and intervenes along the route when appropriateRenders aid in the event of accidents and other safety hazardsClose-in protection: Provides security coverage for principals, guests, and others professionally and courteously while in compliance with policy, procedures, and principal preferencesLiaison: Coordinates with internal staff and department heads when providing common support during principal activities and eventsCommunications: Communicates appropriately with all principals and stakeholdersWrites reports and delivers oral and written briefingsPhysical Security:Standing at a static post or a walking patrolProviding escortsOther responsibilities as assigned by the Chief of Protective OperationsRun boating operationsSupervisory Responsibilities:Routinely manage contract vendors Budget Responsibilities:May be asked to provide insight or collect information for budget activities TrainingMust attend, participate, and, as needed, lead training. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience: 0-2 years of related security experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experienceDomestic and International travel may be requiredHeavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, use hands/manual dexterity and fingers to handle or touch/sense, and reach and stretch with hands and arms.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, night vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.May be required to climb, balance, crouch, squat, kneel, stoop, or crawl.May be required to have a sense of taste and smell. Ability to occasionally run or sprint.
