Job Description
We are looking for an Accounting Manager with ANY industry experience and strong management skills to lead the accounting team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting activities, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic financial guidance to the team.
Responsibilities:- Manage and lead the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain financial controls and compliance- Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes- Coordinate and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including cost analysis and inventory management- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years of people management- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles-Some Cost Accounting experience is desired- Experience with manufacturing accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Wrike, Acumatica, Oracle NetSuite, Navision, etc.)- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Strong leadership and communication skills- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines- Knowledge of inventory costing methods and manufacturing cost accounting
