Construction Superintendent

Overview:The Superintendent oversees all phases of a construction project. The Construction Superintendent prepares work schedules and assignments, communicates, and enforces safety procedures and site rules.

Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare, update, and monitor project schedule from preliminary design to project close out.Generate RFI’s.Review owner contract with Project ManagerReview and prepare subcontractors with Project ManagerApprove subcontractor payments with Project Manager.Review and approve PCO’s and pay applications with Project ManagerTo represent WCI in all actions onsite with the subcontractors and owners.Build and maintain project schedule.Responsible to notify subcontractors early when their services are required onsite.Responsible for notifying the office if obstacles to on-time completion occur.Review all submittals with Project Engineer.Perform other job duties, as assigned.Any other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:Excellent verbal and communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, work well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences and delays.Ability to assure responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively with others.

Education and Experience:Experience in Construction related fields is a plus.Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management preferred or equivalent experience in Construction.3+ years’ experience in multi-family housing construction required.OSHA certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds at a time.Travel with little to no notice.Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance.
