Job Description: As the Controller at EEG, you will uphold the highest standard of financial integrity at our venues. Working alongside the VP of Finance, the Controller plays a key role in supporting and managing financial activities, ensuring compliance, and contributing to strategic financial decision-making. Key Responsibilities: · Collaborate with department heads to gather data and contribute to the development of annual budgets and forecasts.· Support the VP of Finance in monitoring budget variances and providing recommendations for improvement.· Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of internal control processes to safeguard company assets.· Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.· Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, supporting the VP of Finance in analysis and presentation to executive management.· Review work performed by finance and accounting staff. · Assist the VP of Finance in supervision of finance and accounting staff. · Support the VP of Finance in managing daily cash flow operations and analyzing liquidity needs.· Work alongside the VP of Finance to ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements.· Assist in facilitating annual audits and addressing audit-related matters. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification or progress toward CPA is preferred.· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance and accounting; hospitality background is a plus.· Experience in operational finance, including cost accounting and planning.· Centralized accounting background is a plus.· Expertise in accounting principles (specifically US GAAP), procedures, internal controls, and income tax regulations is required.· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and QuickBooks.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong guest service orientation.· Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
