Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager

Hayward Food Manufacturing Company is seeking a bilingual Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager

Manager Job description: The Food Safety & Quality Assurance Compliance Manager is responsible for food safety and compliance as it relates to FDA and SQF standards. The Food Safety & Quality Assurance Compliance Manager administers and creates all necessary policies and procedures to obtain and maintain SQF certification. This position will be responsible for all audits and customer visits as they relate to documentation and factory tours.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Create, implement, and manage food safety policies and procedures to stay compliant with regulatory requirements (FDA, SQF).
• Audit the effectiveness of training programs to ensure compliance against GMP, SQF, Food safety protocols.
• Set plant training frequencies and training requirements. ·
• Manage and support any product recalls or withdrawals with our corporate office, including mock recalls. ·
• Manage, maintain and support our quality department to ensure specifications with all products and shipments are compliant. ·
• Act as the practitioner and HACCP manager.
• All yearly certifications must be kept up to date. ·
• Provide after hour assistance in resolutions to quality, safety and compliance issues as needed. ·
• Interact with all departments within the factory to assure all departments are compliant with documentation and procedures.
• Qualifications: · Minimum 5 years’ experience in food production or related industry. Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field preferred
• HACCP and SQF certification preferred
• Bilingual (Chinese/English) preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80 K to 120 K Anually
