Senior Principal Electrical Engineer (HYBRID)*Compensation: $130-140K salary; bonus; benefits*Hybrid (onsite Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)*Location: Great Boston/Southern New Hampshire (relocation assistance not available)*No visa sponsorship or transfers
We seek a new Senior Principal Electrical Engineer for an innovative pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturer.
About the jobThe Senior Principal Electrical Engineer is a self-starter who can play a key contributor role within our hardware development team. In this role you will plan, analyze and implement the designs and improvements to the electrical systems in our medical device products to achieve product performance goals and business objectives.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop analog, digital, and mixed signal, and power circuitsInvestigate new technologies and best practicesPrototype, debug, troubleshoot, and rework while maintaining quality technical documentation.Build and test prototypes to verify design functionWork with both internal and external resources during design, prototyping, and transfer to manufacturing activitiesSupport verification and validation activities for the systemManage the schedule and budget for assigned project deliverablesCoordinate with internal and external resources to conduct design, redesign, prototype, and transfer to manufacturing activitiesPerform and document failure analysis of returned productOversee technical records and filesWork with customers and vendors as needed regarding technical issuesPerform other related duties as assignedAll employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy and Quality Management System as per your roles and responsibilities.
RequirementsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering5+ years of hands-on experience as an electrical design engineer on product developmentDirect experience developing within a regulated environment (Medical, Aerospace, Military)Experience with CAD tools including schematic capture and PCB designFamiliarity with regulations governing electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility and the activities necessary to achieve IEC 60601 certificationExperience with communication interfaces, including I2C, SPI, UART, Wi-Fi, BluetoothExperience with controls for Stepper and/or BLDC motors, actuators, sensors, and dataFamiliarity with circuit simulation tools, such as PSpiceExperience with software tools including ORCAD Capture and Allegro PCB
