About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced candidate with the ability to lead and grow a team of technical marketing managers charged with driving Confluent’s product capabilities and innovation towards technical personas in the market. Specifically targeting developers, architects, and operators, you will build materials - demos, talks, webinars, sales enablement, and more - that helps these personas understand the power of a Data Streaming Platform in the specific context of their role and business.. As the leader of this function, you will set team direction and priorities by working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product leadership. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role.

What You Will Do

Lead a growing team of talented technical marketing managers that works cross-functionally with marketing, sales, analyst/investor relations, and more Build and execute a strategy for scalable technical demonstrations of Confluent’s products across sales engineering and marketing Create product demos that highlight the power and potential of Confluent across the Data Streaming Platform (streaming, data processing, governance, connectors) Deliver output for both Confluent Cloud and Confluent Platform to highlight our benefits regardless of where customers are operating Present on stage at our global events, regional events, and in webinars

What You Will Bring

10 + years of experience across any of the following areas: technical marketing, sales engineering, solution architect or other similar roles Experience working for firms/units specifically within the data infrastructure space (databases, data pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, etc) Demonstrated understanding of the broader technology infrastructure landscape and trends within it Experience working with the platforms of the major cloud service providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, sales enablement, business development, and more to build consensus and drive success for the program Proven ability to craft scalable technical demos that highlight the capabilities of a product, with the ability to train others on how to deploy them Bonus → direct experience working with Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, or other data streaming technologies

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $206,280 - $247,545, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
