Job Description
As a Medical Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in our patient care team, providing accurate lab data that will directly affect patient outcomes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Conducting routine and specialized tests on clinical specimens for diagnostic purposes. Calibrating and maintaining lab equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Recording and analyzing test results, and communicating findings to physicians. Ensuring compliance with all laboratory quality controls and standards. Participating in the collection and preparation of specimens. Staying current with advancements in the field to adopt new testing procedures.
Education & Certification Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need
An Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by ASCP or equivalent. Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred but not required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
