Job Description

As a Travel MRI Tech, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to create diagnostic images in a safe and effective manner. Key responsibilities include:

Conducting MRI scans as per the physician's orders, ensuring comfort and safety of patients during the procedure. Adjusting scanning techniques and parameters appropriately to improve image quality. Maintaining MRI equipment, reporting any malfunctions, and ensuring that the machine settings and upkeep adhere to safety standards. Preparing and administering contrast dyes as required under the guidance of medical staff. Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare team members to analyze images and determine the necessity for additional tests. Documenting all procedures and findings accurately and promptly for use in diagnosis and treatment.

Education & Certification Requirements

Candidates for this role must meet the following qualifications:

Associate’s degree or completion of a radiologic technology program. Certified and registered as an MRI Technologist by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists). Valid state license as required in New York or eligible for reciprocity. Previous experience in MRI technology preferred, but not mandatory. Excellent patient care and communication skills. Ability to adapt to new environments and integrate quickly with new teams.
