Director of Nursing – Long Term Care - Contract/Travel
Up to $2800/wk for experienced DONs
Are you a nursing leader looking for new opportunities? Connected Health Care is looking for a seasoned Nursing professional for a LTC facility for a Director of Nursing role at near Eagle Grove, Iowa.
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall supervision, provision, and quality of nursing care in the healthcare center. He/she is responsible for the selection, training, discipline and supervision for all nursing related healthcare center personnel. He/she is responsible for the procurement of appropriate supplies and equipment and operating within the departmental budget.

Job Functions
Oversees, directs, and coordinates nursing staff to provide proper patient care consistent with standard nursing practices. Oversees the provision of appropriate medications, treatments and general nursing services according to the patient’s care plan and physician directed orders. Monitors and controls inventories of drugs and supplies. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations. Participates in the assessment of patients to be admitted by evaluating the level and amount of care required by prospective patient in relation to existing nursing capabilities.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree in health care related field, required Current, unencumbered RN license with the state of Iowa, required Minimum of five (5) years healthcare experience, required Long term care Leadership experience required
