Position overview.
Connect Pay is searching for a highly motivated, resourceful, technical thinker to join our growing Company. The Senior accountant will be a key member of the accounting and finance team and will provide support across the entire organization. In addition to general ledger and month end financial close responsibilities, the Senior Accountant will assist with internal and external financial reporting, system enhancements and implementations, treasury, and capital raising initiatives. The position will also partner with FP&A in ad hoc projects and analysis. Roles and Responsibilities
Monthly ClosePrepare and analyze balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries for monthly close.Partner with engineering (R&D) in quantifying and posting internal labor capitalization costs. Partner with recently acquired companies to map financials into ConnectPayβs master chart of accounts.Meet objective of closing the books in 8 business days.Complete monthly flux analysis for P&L and B.S.Prepare and publish timely, accurate monthly financial statements.
Process ImprovementOwn/overhaul/optimize the sales commission calculation and payment process.Evaluate and implement ERP enhancements to optimize revenue and client fund data analytics.Implement purchasing and expense management system including developing delegation of authority matrix.Assess and recommend scalable process improvement opportunities to support ConnectPayβs growth trajectory.Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Recommend necessary workflow improvements to drive monthly close process to 5 business days.Financial ReportingOwn the preparation of weekly cash forecast and provide recommendation for cash optimization opportunities.Prepare monthly Compliance Certificate and Borrowing Base Capacity schedules.
External Partner ManagementPartner with Controller in managing engagements (Annual audit, valuation, State tax filing, K1 Issuance). Respond to inquiries and requests for information from auditors, and other external stakeholders professionally and promptly.
Ad hoc/OtherCollaborate with Director of FP&A and assist in ad hoc projects which can include pricing, variance analysis of financial performance, product profitability, financial system enhancements and implementations.Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.Assist in the consolidation and integration of newly acquired companies.
This position is based in Foxboro MA.

Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree (Major in Accounting) required, and CPA preferred.3 + years of experience in public accounting and/or audit roleStrong understanding of US GAAP, and ability to perform accounting guidance research.Demonstrated ability and willingness to drill-in to operational details while maintaining appropriate whole-company perspective.High level of flexibility, adaptability, and multi-tasking to meet deadlines.An ability to manage complex accounting and reporting systems and processes.Advanced knowledge of Excel, knowledge of automated financial and reporting systems,Ability to leverage technology and capable of learning new systems.Excitement in building the infrastructure of an accounting department.Willing to challenge the status quo.An entrepreneurial spirit - comfortable in a dynamic work environment and possess a proven ability to create operational efficiencies and streamline processes without direct oversight.
