Your Impactful RoleAs an Accounting Policy Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in:Researching and documenting the accounting impact of transactions in line with US GAAP and Statutory financial reporting standards.Ensuring compliance by maintaining and updating accounting policies.Collaborating on the implementation of new U.S. GAAP and Statutory accounting standards.Participating in Disclosure Committee Working Group activities and performing necessary financial controls.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:Conducting research and documenting accounting treatments, presenting your findings to management and auditors.Implementing U.S. GAAP and Statutory accounting standards and assessing their impact on financial statements and disclosures.Coordinating and documenting activities for the Disclosure Committee Working Group.Updating and maintaining corporate accounting policies to reflect regulatory changes and internal processes.Assisting with Financial Reporting controls to meet GAAP and Statutory financial reporting requirements.Completing special financial projects as assigned.

Qualifications for SuccessA bachelors in accountingAt least three years of accounting and/or auditing experience with a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting standardsExperience with financial reporting including lease accounting and internal control workExperience working directly with external auditorsStrong technical accounting and research skills Insurance accounting experience is a plusCertified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred
