Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Threat Hunter to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying and investigating potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to our organization's systems, networks, and data assets. The Threat Hunter will play a crucial role in enhancing our cybersecurity posture, reducing our exposure to cyber threats, and safeguarding our critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:Proactively hunt for potential security threats and vulnerabilities through in-depth analysis of security logs, alerts, network traffic, and system data.Develop and implement threat hunting strategies, hypotheses, and investigative techniques to identify advanced and persistent threats.Collect and analyze threat intelligence from various sources to stay informed about evolving cyber threats, tactics, and techniques used by threat actors.Conduct in-depth investigations of suspicious activities, anomalous behaviors, and potential indicators of compromise (IOCs) to validate security incidents.Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, incident response specialists, and stakeholders to share findings, coordinate response efforts, and mitigate security risks effectively.Document and report on threat hunting activities, investigative processes, findings, and recommendations for security enhancements.Stay current on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies in threat hunting and cybersecurity to continuously improve skills and knowledge.Participate in red team exercises, penetration testing, and incident response activities to test and validate the effectiveness of security controls and incident handling procedures.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field or equivalent work experience.6+ years working in cyber security with 2+ years experience in cybersecurity threat hunting, incident response, digital forensics, or similar roles.Deep understanding of cyber threats, attack vectors, malware analysis, and security frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK).Proficiency in using security tools, SIEM platforms, network monitoring systems, and malware analysis tools.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically and creatively in investigating complex security incidents.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.Strong teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic cybersecurity environment.
