The Role:A utility-scale IPP is looking to further strengthen their team with an experienced Senior Project Manager to help bring their 1GW project pipeline online. They have successfully developed nearly 50 utility-scale projects since their inception totaling nearly 1GW, and are looking to continue to break ground on projects across the States.

Responsibilities:Project Planning: Lead the planning phase of the project, including site selection, feasibility studies, and preliminary design. Develop project scope, budget, and schedule in collaboration with stakeholders.Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Oversee the process of obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental, land use, and safety.Contract Management: Manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Negotiate terms and conditions, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to contractual agreements.Resource Management: Coordinate the allocation of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements within budget and schedule constraints.Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, landowners, and community members. Communicate project status, updates, and any issues or concerns.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and implement corrective actions as needed to minimize impact.Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Establish and implement QA/QC procedures to ensure that work meets industry standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance.Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management: Implement HSE policies and procedures to promote a safe working environment and minimize environmental impact. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.Cost Control and Financial Management: Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize financial performance.Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules using appropriate tools and techniques. Monitor progress against milestones and critical path activities, identify delays, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.Change Management: Assess and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget. Evaluate impacts, obtain approvals as necessary, and communicate changes to stakeholders.Closeout and Handover: Coordinate the closeout process, including final inspections, documentation, and handover to the client or asset owner. Ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled, and lessons learned are documented for future projects.Team Leadership and Development: Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, support, and mentoring as needed. Foster a collaborative work environment and promote professional development opportunities for team members.Performance Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and milestones. Provide accurate and timely information to support decision-making.

Qualifications:5+ years experience building utility-scale solar projects.Managed the entire construction lifecycle of projects from NTP to COD.Managed multiple utility-scale solar projects simultaneously.Work with contractors, procurement, engineering, and late-stage development teams.Effectively managed the timelines of multiple 50MW+ projects simultaneouslyIdeally managed the construction of BESS projects too.Must have constructed projects in either MISO, NYISO, PJM, or ERCOT.
