Job Summary
Reporting to the President and COO, Ostomy Care (OC) and a critical member of the Global Ostomy Leadership Team, this role is pivotal to both the short and long-term growth of the OC as well as the Advance Wound Care Business units. The leader will work very closely with the Global Leadership team for both these BU’S and will also be a very close collaborator with the BU commercial leaders. They will be expected to drive revenue growth and market share through the channel and corporate accounts. They will have experience of working in a multi-channel marketplace and the ideal candidate will have experience of winning share in a competitive environment.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
The Vice President of Corporate Accounts for Convatec is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive revenue growth and maximize market share within the corporate accounts segment. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers at hospitals, healthcare systems/GPO’s, and other large healthcare organizations.
Key responsibilities include
Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate accounts strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives supporting Ostomy Care and Advance wound care BU’s. This includes identifying target accounts, defining value propositions, and creating pricing and contracting strategies.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at corporate accounts, including C-suite executives, purchasing managers, and clinical leaders. Collaborate with these stakeholders to understand their needs, address any issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.Sales and Business Development: Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the corporate accounts segment. This includes prospecting for new accounts, presenting product offerings, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within the corporate accounts segment. Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and support for corporate accounts initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions and address customer needs.Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation and management of contracts with corporate accounts. Ensure compliance with pricing and contracting policies, and work with legal and finance teams to mitigate risks and maximize profitability.Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing corporate accounts team. Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members, and foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture. This role will manage a team of approximately 14 with around 4 direct reports.
About You
The Vice President of Corporate Accounts plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding market share within the corporate accounts segment. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and medical devices market.
Undergraduate degree in a science or business-related discipline; MBA or advanced degree an advantageProven experience in corporate accounts management or sales within the medical devices industryStrong knowledge of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and reimbursement processesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholdersStrategic thinking and problem-solving abilitiesStrong leadership and team management skillsResults-driven mindset and ability to meet sales targetsAbility to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events
