Summary
The Medical Assistant I role functions under the clinical supervision of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider in a primary care practice. This individual assists in the preparation and delivery of patient care as directed by the provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Clinical duties are skillfully and consistently performed per established clinical policy and procedure.
Education & Experience
High school diploma requiredRequired: Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certificationMinimum 1-year experience in outpatient pediatric practice or equivalent family practice outpatient preferred (as determined by department), or immediately post-externship in a pediatrics practice or clinic setting
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
National certification preferredCurrent CPR certification required
