Short Description
Excellent communication skills. Excellent clinical and scientific knowledge of Infection Prevention in a healthcare environment. Must have significant prior experience in both infection prevention and a related field (E.g. nursing, microbiology, epidemiology).
Must have extensive experience with computers/EHRs; and In-Patient/Out-Patient surveillance and reporting systems.
Experience Required
Physician coding and compliance experience with significant emphasis on/strong background in procedural, surgical and/or Evaluation and Management services.
Training and presentation experience with physicians and other clinicians both individually and in groups.
Accomplished in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and other supplemental training materials.
Previous work experience in the auditing and coding of professional clinical documentation; both handwritten and electronic medical records.
Education Requirements
High School Graduate; some college or Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associates degree in Nursing or other relevant Associate degree also considered.
License/Certification Requirements
CPC and/or CCS-P; CRC or intent to sit/pass exam within 1 year of hire. Nursing certification and/or Compliance certification a plus. (Valid Driver’s License (will need to travel to CUH satellite locations as necessary).
