Job Title
Maintenance Mechanic I
As a Maintenance Mechanic I, you will be responsible for repair, installation and general upkeep of manufacturing machinery and/or facility equipment. You will work within a team environment to meet departmental goals and objectives and maintain work area cleanliness.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance such as changing coolants, lubricants, or filters on manufacturing equipment.Perform facility maintenance such as replacing lightbulbs, painting, replacing filters, simple plumbing, etc.Inspect and perform basic maintenance and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment using various manual and power tools.Partner with senior mechanics to repair more complex manufacturing or facility equipment.Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory.
Job Requirements
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Experience
One (1) year relevant experience.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions.Basic math, computer, and time-management skills.Ability to self-direct work to complete project within defined time frame.Knowledge of machine repair, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, mill-wright, and/or general maintenance.Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Target Hiring Range
Hourly: USD 22.17 - USD 26.80
