We specialize in developing solutions to water quality and treatment challenges that have not been addressed before. As a member of our team, you will work with us to deliver water quality and treatment related projects addressing:Surface water quality issues including disinfection byproducts precursors, microbial contaminants, taste and odor compounds, and cyanotoxinsGroundwater quality issues including nitrate, 1,2,3-trichloropropane, PFAS, hexavalent chromium, ammonia, manganese, and arsenicDistribution system water issues including Legionella, disinfectant residuals, disinfection byproducts, nitrification, and corrosion control for lead and copperDrinking water policy assessments and needsJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Study, plan, and optimize water treatment and distribution system facilitiesAnalyze and interpret operational and water quality dataSupport field testing of water treatment processes at bench-, pilot-, and demonstration-scaleEvaluate treatability of source water supplies based on raw water quality and treated water quality requirements and goalsModel drinking water treatment processesPrepare engineering test plans, reports, and client presentationsParticipate in facility startup, operator training, and process and equipment troubleshootingPrepare facility permitting documents for water treatment and distribution facilitiesPerform regulatory evaluation and review for treatment requirements related to existing and potential future drinking water regulationsPrepare life cycle cost estimates for water treatment facilitiesEvaluate water treatment and distribution system operationsTravel for project needsQualificationsREQUIRED ATTRIBUTESMaster’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field requiredEngineer Intern (EI) registrationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsSelf-motivation with a desire to be challengedAbility to work well as a team member or individuallyWillingness to take initiative and assume responsibilityWillingness to travel for project needs and to support client interactionsPREFERRED ATTRIBUTESData analysis experience with R, Python, and/or SQLMapping experience with GIS
