Data Engineer Intern (Remote but needs to be in Eastern or Central Time zone)

The Data Analyst Intern will play a crucial role in bridging our data engineering team with internal business stakeholders, focusing on collecting requirements related to our corporate data warehouse. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in data analysis, profiling, modeling, and potentially some aspects of development within a vibrant and mission-driven environment.

This intern will work in a collaborative, remote environment, working closely with the corporate data warehouse team. They will gain exposure to real-world data projects and technologies throughout the summer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with internal teams to gather, document, and analyze requirements for data projectsEngage in data profiling and analysis to support the development of conceptual data modelsAssist in developing and debugging ETL pipelinesContribute to improving data quality and simplifying processes within the data engineering teamEngage in projects fostering a focus on quality and customer needsOther duties as needed or required

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

Currently pursuing a degree or certification in related fieldsDemonstrated interest outside of coursework related to data analysis, data engineering, or a related domain

Certificates, License & Registrations

Data or analytics related certifications are nice to have

Competencies (Skills & Abilities)

Familiarity with SQL and basic data modeling conceptsStrong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environmentExcellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholdersProficiency in EnglishProactive learner with a passion for data and a keen interest in the animal health industryUnafraid of taking responsibility and initiative

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.However, the pay range for this position is as follows.$17.25 - $19.00
