ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering support for existing/released product linesEffectively facilitate project teams, ensuring good cross-functional communicationAssess business risks and prioritize tasks among multiple projectsServe as the engineering subject matter expertEstablish and maintain a visual management tool to provide project statusWork with project teams to develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelinesProvide technical support to customers, as well as a wide array of internal customers including: Sales, Quality, Marketing, Manufacturing, Tooling, Purchasing, and Design EngineeringParticipate in the identification and prioritization of retool opportunitiesReview and disposition inspection dataMaintain engineering standards and specifications; create and update specifications as requiredRespond to design related CAPAsAuthor new procedures and work instructions to support Continuous Improvement cultureInitiate and execute engineering change orders, including CAD model/drawing creation and modificationManage product structures/BOMs in ERP systemOther duties as assigned. Basic QualificationsMinimum years of experience2+ years of experience in an engineering settingMinimum education levelBS in Engineering or equivalent discipline from an ABET-accredited institutionProficiency in solid modeling and creation of detailed drawings in CADDemonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitudeInnate technical ability and curiosity Ability to apply sound engineering logic to solve complex problems, to properly assess risks, and make decisions accordinglyAbility to work independently and to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to work successfully in cross-functional teamsStrong but respectful verbal communication styleStrong aptitude for dealing with multiple priorities Preferred QualificationsAdvanced modeling capabilities using PTC Creo CADWorking knowledge of injection molded thermoplastic components, mold design and the influence of molding process parametersWorking knowledge of plastics joining technologiesManage difficult complex program management, understand the strategy, and driving decision making processKnowledge of product lifecycles, and VOCsWorking knowledge of PTC WindchillExperience performing DFMEA, PFMEA and process DOEsDesign of fluid handling componentsCleanroom and/or controlled environment manufacturingTechnical writing Travel Up to 5%
