📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
My client, an industry leader is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor for their facility in NW Indiana.
Shipping & Receiving Supervisor: Reporting to the Shipping & Receiving Manager, this position will be responsible for front-line supervisor and leadership of plant personnel and monitoring daily work flow to ensure the schedule is met in a safe and effective manner.
Work cross-functionally with other departmentsEnsure schedule is met and resolve any issues that may arise in schedulingCommunicate any employee or department issuesParticipate in Union affairsSupervise 7-10 plant employees
The ideal candidate
3+ years of experience in a Shipping & Receiving role – railcars, bulk tankers, barges3+ years of proven leadership/supervisory experience – hiring, disciplinary, firing, coachingExcellent people skillsUnion experience is a plus This is a 3rd shift position.
