Responsibilities Of Controller
As a Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Statement Management: Manage the financial statement close process, including month-end, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, supporting the company's public filings (10-Q, 10-K) and management and board presentations.
Account Reconciliation: Review and oversee account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness, maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Journal Entry Review: Review journal entries for completeness, accuracy, and proper supporting documentation.
Financial Analysis: Review flux analysis and departmental reports monthly and quarterly, contributing to informed decision-making.
Internal Controls: Design, implement, and maintain internal control processes by Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) certification requirements.
General Ledger Management: Manage the General Ledger system (currently QAD), including the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.
Experience Preferred For The Controller

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.Experience: At least 8+ years of experience in a senior-level accounting position, demonstrating your financial management and reporting expertise.Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel and Word, with highly advanced skills.Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of GAAP and SOX 404 Compliance, ensuring your ability to maintain regulatory compliance.CPA License: A CPA license and a minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience are required.
