Team Lead, Safety & Security - Weekend Shift

Overview

The Safety and Security Lead works with leadership, supervisors, and associates to support and enforce policies that protect all associates and keep the work environment safe and compliant. The Safety and Security Lead conducts inspections, supports accident investigations, facilitates training, and helps define the safety culture of the organization. Safety and Security Lead also ensure that safety-related training records, accident reports and other documents are completed and filed appropriately.

The successful candidate will be a driven, solutions based, self-starter, and must demonstrate an ability to cultivate trust and confidence while influencing change through comprehensive risk assessments, shrink data analysis and safety assessments. They will be the driving force to ensure the facility is maintained in accordance with OSHA requirements, as well as supporting and enforcing policies that ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

This position is targeted for Weekend Shift, Friday – Sunday – 6am – 630pm.

What You'll Do

Influence behavior and inspire commitment on the part of all personnel in complying with Crocs safety standards and maintaining a safe work environmentConduct training and coach associates on observed work habits in support of this effortImplement and enforce all OSHA and warehouse rules and regulationsEngage associates to build and maintain an integrated safety cultureConduct behavioral safety, 5S, & general safety observationsConduct periodic safety and health walk-through inspections of all workplace facilitiesAssist with periodic safety and other required trainingContinually add value to training material through comprehensive evaluationAssist with accident/injury/near miss response and investigationsAssist with investigations into employee inquiries, suggestions and complaintsAssist managing safety equipment and PPEAssist with site emergency drills and monitor associate response and readinessMaintain required safety and health documents, files, and reportsLead shift specific safety committeePerform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring to the Table

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field or bachelor’s degree in related field preferredKnowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment and associate focus skillsAbility to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analysisAble to maintain confidentiality in matters involving personnel issuesAvailable to work flexible shifts including days, nights and/or weekendsExperience in Workers Comp case management preferred
