Job SummaryThe Principal Engineer who performs in this position will support the design and construction of semiconductor fabrication, manufacturing, and auxiliary utility/electrical facilities in our Advanced Tech Facilities Sector. The position is a project based role for a sizable technical facility in the Eastern U.S. that CTCI is pursuing. Duties/ResponsibilitiesCoordinate structural design on multidiscipline project teams including Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing (MEP) professionalsConduct structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures, Prepare structural calculationsMake technical assumptions, think independently to complete assigned work, and draw conclusions based on engineering judgementCapable to lead a Civil/Structural project team Interface with geotechnical engineers and implement geotechnical recommendations Provide input in support of permitting effortsPrepare material requisition and subcontract scope of work Provide engineering manhour and quantity estimates Comply with all CTCI Company and HSE procedures and policies. ETABS proficiency is a requirement.of equipment foundation (shallow and pile) including vertical vessels, pipe racks, transformers, tanks, and facility buildings using other engineering programs.of various steel structures including modular pipe racks, walkways, platforms, MPS and MES.in detail civil/structural engineering and design work procedures and processesAutoCAD is a pluscommunication skills and professional ethics to interface with clients and project teamEducation and ExperienceDegree from accredited university in Civil/Structural Engineering with 25 years of experience in structural design of commercial, industrial, or manufacturing industries. Masters degree counts for 1 year and PhD for 2 years.Registration (AZ, CA, TX, NY, LA desirable)in commercial or technical buildings is required.of 5 years Civil/Structural engineering experience on Advanced Electronics/Semiconductor projects in the Technical Industryworking with Architects on building Façade design, interior stair wells, elevator shafts, floor slabs/openings, and roofing systems.degree desirable but not requiredconducting structural analysis and design in seismic regionsknowledge of US building codes IBC, ACI and AISC and structural design standards.work tasks include conceptual studies, design calculations & checking construction drawings.in preparation and review of project specifications, material requisition packages, and bid evaluations.
