Senior Systems Technician
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job SummaryAssist in the design, management, and configuration of the systems infrastructure. Independentjudgement is used to work on the implementation of hardware and software for the network. Trackand report on systems performance. Serve as the highest escalation point for all service desk tickets and user support that cannot be solved by others in the department. Manage and maintain the health of the servers, switches, firewalls, backups, etc. Assist the IT Director in other projects for the group.
Duties/Responsibilities· Monitor and maintain Office 365 – Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint.· Monitor and maintain Active Directory and Group Policy.· Monitor and maintain Veeam Backup/Replication system.· Monitor and maintain VMware environment.· Assist with new hire account creation/sync processes.· Assist with writing and updating department policies and procedures.· Assist with support tickets that the support team cannot resolve.· Assist the IT Director with billing and invoices.· Assist the IT Director with security infrastructure.· Work with outside vendors for internet circuits, phone systems, consulting, and other services.· Comply with all CTCI Company and HSE procedures and policies.· Follow Corporate Principles:o Professionalism - Professional in everything we do.o Integrity - Integrity above all.o Teamwork - One Team. Required Skills· Active Directory, Group Policy· Backup/Replication systems (Veeam)· Office 365 – Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams· Cloud technologies (Azure)· Windows Server 2012 – 2019· Command Prompt/PowerShell· VMware/Vsphere· Cisco devices · Fortinet firewalls/switches · Ubiquiti switches · Meraki devices · LAN/WAN/VoIP technologies
Education and Experience· BS degree or relevant experience· 5-9 years of experience in a similar role· Team leadership experience is a plus
Physical Requirements· Ability to lift computers, monitors, and boxes up to 25 lbs.· Ability to climb ladders to reach wireless access points mounted on the ceiling.· Ability to crawl or stoop under desks as needed to reach network jacks or power outlets.
