We are looking for a talented 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Distribution Business Segment in Des Moines, IA. Work hours are 1pm-9pm-CST,
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways
Under some supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse.Receive incoming goods, check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.Pick, pack, and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or ordersOperate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.Communicate with customers by phone and in person.
To be successful in this role you will need the following
High school diploma or equivalentForklift and/or other warehouse machinery operating experienceMust be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipmentThis position will require a completed DMV driving report but not Driver Qualification FilePrevious Warehouse experience is required, including operating forklifts, reach trucks, and stock pickers.
Compensation And Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
