Litigation Paralegal
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The litigation legal assistant will provide support to attorneys and staff within a medical malpractice defense firm. Medical malpractice experience is preferred, but not necessary. The legal assistant will support 2-3 attorneys in all aspects of the litigation process, including the preparation of pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence from inception of the case through trial in various jurisdictions. This is a full-time position in our Chicago or Warrenville, Illinois, office. QUALIFICATIONS5-7 years as a litigation legal assistant and/or 7+ years practical legal experienceStrong computer skillsProficient with Word and ExcelExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAble to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging tasks and daily deadlinesStrong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
