Manager, Quality Control

We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to join our New Britain team!

This is an opportunity to join a metal surface treatment technology facility with an established industrial company that is the world leader in this field.

As the Manager, Quality Control, you will have the opportunity to be crossed trained on various aspects of liquid coatings.

Your Challenge

Oversee all Quality related functions and supervise Quality staff.Develop/Approve Process and Inspection plans compliant with customer and industry specific requirementsReview and evaluate contractual requirements in specifications and drawingsEnsure quality and regulatory compliance in accordance with documented procedures for all aspects of functional responsibility.Provide subject matter expertise while interacting with internal and external customers and suppliersDevelop, review, approve and control all Quality Management System documentationHost all customer and regulatory audits and ensure continued certification to AS9100 and Nadcap Chemical ProcessingReview, evaluate, and answer customer correspondence.Maintain training requirements and records for site.Perform Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action for discrepant productIdentify potential project quality issues

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience3-4 years of experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (job shop)3-5 years’ experience in implementing Quality Management System (AS9100 or other regulated environment)Ability to read and interpret customer drawings and specifications3-5 years Supervisory experience of technical and administrative staffAbility to perform Root Cause analysis and implement Corrective ActionsDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersMust be a US Citizen and able to obtain DoD security clearance

Preferred

3-5years of chemical processing experienceExperience with Nadcap accreditation process and auditingBackground in metal finishing or coating manufacturing environment
