Job Description Summary
The Senior Finance Manager oversees the accounting and finance functions supporting the Project Management service line for a Cushman & Wakefield Global Occupier Services (GOS) account. This position will lead a 7-person team consisting of an Accounting Manager, Senior Financial Analysts, Senior Accountants and Accounts Payable Specialists supporting office and retail projects. Primary responsibilities include processing $250M of annual payments to General Contractors, Architectural & Engineering and single trade suppliers on behalf of 1,500 projects annually. Key functions include, but not limited to, reviewing project budgets and forecasts, preparing financial closeouts on completed projects to Fixed Assets, forecasting project spend, allocating management fees and performing ad-hoc financial analysis.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experienceGraduate work or CPA certification preferred10 years of project management finance and accounting experience in commercial real estate 5 years of management experienceKnowledge of project management activities including project budgeting, forecasting and General Contractor and Non-GC invoicing and payment application requirements Experience with Project Management budgeting, procurement, and accounting software preferably Enterprise 1, Procore, Ingenious, PM Webb or other related PM softwareExposure to Yardi and SAP is beneficialExperience interpreting and applying capitalization policyExperience with fixed asset creation and management systemsCandidate must have the capability to manage, coach and counsel a team of financial professionals in the performance of their duties and identified goals and objectivesMust be a strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, and client representativesEnergetic and strategic thinker with an enquiring mind and a commercial approachSound communicator (written and verbal) with high quality report writing skillsAbility to multi-task and maintain progress on multiple projects and processes
Principal Responsibilities
Act as a trusted Financial advisor to Project Management leadership, execution, and operations teams Cash management activities including client funding requests and supplier paymentsReview of bank reconciliations and preparation of financial review checklistsReview project budgets with focus on consistent application of client capitalization policyReview and approve project financial closeout and fixed asset submittal packagesUnderstanding of client capital plan to facilitate spend projectionsManage financial components of Tenant Improvement Allowance (TIA) packagesEnsure high standards of financial control are maintained and that appropriate systems and internal controls are adhered to, reviewed and validated to achieve SOC 1 complianceLead, develop and manage workload of accounting and finance team membersContribute to strategic initiatives related to project accounting and/or client capitalization policyTakes a lead role in staff and account leadership meetings to discuss strategies and tactics as well as pending financial issuesIdentifies and implement best practices to enhance and improve operational efficiencies

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidateβs experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $159,375.00 - $187,500.00
